Session 5: Pietism ~ Christianity has application in every sphere of life.
Cary Gordon on pietism:
KCAU9 News of Sioux City has released a special report on Haddock’s murder and its lasting impact.
The following clip is a scene from Amazing Grace, a 2006 film that tells the story of the life of William Wilberforce and his fight to end slavery in Great Britain.
Integrated Christianity
This slide illustrates compartmentalization in a Christian’s life; this one showcases the opposite — a biblical approach we can call “integrated Christianity.” Here are the two slides together, on one page.

Bringing the session into focus: Christians are not only to help others find their way to heaven through a relationship with Jesus Christ; they’re also to make this world a better place by bringing biblical principles to bear in every sphere they have influence. This includes but is not limited to the arenas of public life and public policy. Social justice leaders in the church preach the “virtues” of being “apolitical” even as they themselves promote politically leftist — and anti-Christian — ideas in the name of “justice.”
In addition to the material in the Facilitator’s Guide (currently represented by this online article/teaching plan), a one-page summary of the teaching plan is available here.
Both the longer teaching plan and the summary call for use of Item 5.1, Item 5.2, Item 5.3, Item 5.4 (two pages), and Item 5.5. (These items will be published in the Facilitator’s Guide, and permission will be given for Bible study leaders to reproduce them as needed for their groups.)
This page is part of a larger article or Bible study.
